1971 FERRARI 365 GTB/4 “Daytona”

A beautiful, Pop-up headlight, UK-supplied, lightly used collectors’ Daytona with a recent £200,000 rebuild.
Registered as BNR 786K for many years the car shows 21,889 fully documented miles since 1973 and a further 12,673 prior to this, giving a total of 34,562 miles. One of the 158 RHD car’s, of which 22 were Auteuil silver, just 7 with this blue interior. In 2010 it won its class at the FOC Concours and comes with its Ferrari “Classiche” red book, confirming full matching numbers, original colours and the authenticity of its body, chassis, engine, transaxle, suspension, brakes and interior.
A car with an exceptionally interesting, uninterrupted provenance under just six main owners for an average of more than seven years each, from 1970s aristocrats to prominent collectors and entrepreneurs. Repainted red over black from 2004 to 2014 and now back to factory specification.
Being Ferrari “Classiche” certified this confirms full matching numbers, original colours and the authenticity of its body, chassis, engine, transaxle, suspension, brakes, wheels and interior.
The car has always been maintained in the UK by Official Ferrari dealers and the most respected specialist restorers including Spaytec, Moto Technique, Mike Stirland (Formerly of DK Engineering) and Bob Houghton Ltd.
The interior trim was beautifully crafted by O’ Rourke’s and must be witnessed first hand to appreciate fully. This Daytona also claimed a well deserved class win at the highly respected Ferrari Owners Club event in 2010.
This Daytona’s history is second to none and is endorsed by a huge, indexed file of images, invoices, MOTs and correspondence from former custodians, including copies of the factory order and invoice. This literature is all bound by a leading UK trimmer in Connolly leather to match the cars’ interior.
Today this collectors’ Daytona presents beautifully and drives perfectly, a real testament to its exceptionally low mileage and the no compromise approach taken by each owner to maintenance and renovation.
