Bob – CEO / Founder
Bob Houghton, our founder is unparalleled in his knowledge of the classic Ferrari. Respected globally as one of the best in the business he continues to consult clients and provide direction to our younger technicians. His grandchildren allocate a large percentage of his time these days however remains heavily involved with the company.
Russell – Service / Sales Manager
With over 25 years in the business Russell Smith is a trusted and well respected name in the Ferrari world. Russell is responsible for the majority of the cars in the workshop organising a detailed overview as well as providing unique information regarding potential sales. He prides himself on his commitment to maintaining a cars originality whilst finding a fair result for the customer. His experience is not to be underestimated and a true asset to the company.
Justin – Parts Advisor
Our experienced parts advisor Justin has been in the parts business for many years forming vital relationships with well known suppliers. Whether it be direct from Ferrari or nationally sourced, Justin will refine his search and regularly locate the correct item that best suits that particular project.
Mike – Specialist Technician
A thorough and meticulous technician with over 20 years of experience on Ferrari he is well accustomed to the classic Ferrari. Over the years Mike has worked alongside the best in the business from specialist engineers to Ferrari Challenge race series technicians developing his craft on 355, 360 and 550 models. A team player with a willingness to assist with any diagnosis and mechanical issue that may be raised.
Matt - Specialist Technician
Since joining the team Matt has shown his attention to detail and work ethic to be worthy of this marque. Having worked his apprenticeship alongside luxury vehicles he already has an extensive CV and enjoys getting stuck into any new challenge!
Alfie – Specialist Technician
Our youngest technician Alfie has an impressive mindset towards modern and classic Ferrari bringing a youthful approach to diagnosis. From the 275 GTB to the F12 Berlinetta he is rapidly gaining the experience required of a well-respected specialist technician. We’re proud to have him at Bob Houghton’s and excited to be a part of his ongoing development.
Steve - Specialist Technician
Since joining the company in February this year he’s shown an extensive range of skills with both mechanical and diagnostic work. A team player always ready for the challenges these cars can produce. With dealer network experience Steve can also provide a modern perspective towards the more recent models and their specific service requirements.
Alan - Service Advisor
Alan provides a wealth of knowledge having over 20 years with the Ferrari marque. He previously worked as workshop manager in the main dealer network providing huge insight into the modern Ferrari and their clients. A great asset to the team and well respected in the Ferrari community.
Joe - Specialist Technician
Joe provides a unique wealth of knowledge and experience on the classic and modern Ferrari. Having spent many years in the main dealer network his ability to diagnose a wide range of issues on a majority of models is a huge asset to the team. A motivated technician with a passion for Ferrari.
Jamie – Specialist Technician
A team member with considerable knowledge and experience of modern and classic Ferrari. A background in engineering and machining enables a unique understanding of coachwork and build quality. Originality is an integral part of his work and formally of Thornley Kelham he has a great understanding of the processes.
Simon – Specialist Technician
Simon ‘Barney’ Barnwell is an established member of the Bob Houghton team who has a passion for motorsports and classic cars. To his credit working for Minardi and Arrows F1 teams brings a unique perspective to restorations and engine refinement. Having performed several restorations including a beautiful Aston Martin DB5 he continues to manage all Aston Martin models in the workshop alongside his Ferrari duties.
Brandon - Specialist Technician
Our newest recruit has already become an important member of the team since making the move from the dealer network. Specialising in the modern Ferrari, he executes his services with an attention to detail with a positive mindset. We look forward to his progress within the team.
Christine – Company Accountant
A crucial part of the business regularly cracking the whip. Christine is meticulous with her organising and is the first voice you’ll hear on an enquiry. She has a great relationship with all the staff and always happy to help.
Mark – Collection / Delivery Driver & Maintenance
Spending a number of years as transport driver for F1 Team Arrows, Mark is well practised with the loading and unloading of high value vehicles. Always one for a smooth transition, he likes to be extremely organised and punctual with every journey. A valued member of the team that provides an important link with our customers and their cars.
Ashley - Valeter / Detailer
With an extensive knowledge of product and application Ashley takes enormous care with the cars and enjoys the result. Having previously worked in the specialist network he understands the attention to detail required and how to execute.
