1984 Ferrari 512 BBi Rosso Corsa with Sabia leather.

The 512 BBi was the final incarnation of the fabulous Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer, idolised by many in their childhoods, stoked by bedroom wall posters and top trumps, and this example is one of the best.

It is one of 42 UK right hand drive examples and features the extremely rare Ermenegildo Zegna designed cloth inserts in the seats and door panels.

Originally first registered by H.R.Owen it was used as their demonstrator, before being bought by the well know Ferrari enthusiast and dealer, John Collins.

Originally painted with the traditional black lower half it was converted to full red but not before it was loaned to CAR magazine for what is probably one of the most iconic group road tests ever. Ferrari 512 BBi, Lamborghini Countach, Porsche 911 Turbo and Aston Martin Vantage. The stuff dreams were made of back then.

With subsequent owners the car has been extensively maintained, preserved and looked after. The longest ownership was with a well know collector who bought the car in 1994, finally parting with it some 20 years later but not before Main dealer Dick Lovett had carried out a major maintenance program.

In 2021 it was submitted to the rigorous Classiche program and so comes with the famous red book to authenticate it’s matching numbers and correctness. It also has the original wallet, original service book and even MOTs going back to the first one in 1987.

It currently displays a documented mileage of just 21,185 miles, most of this covered within the first few years of the cars’ life.

Recently treated to a final renovation, including cambelts, new clutch, reconditioned radiator etc. by marque specialists DK Engineering it is ready to go and be enjoyed once more.
